Shannon Denise Evans is an award-winning writer, director, and producer, an alumna of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, and the founder of Storycraft Eleven. She is the creator of an interconnected universe of original properties spanning film, television, theater, literature, and music. She loves her dog, Sir William Wallace, Twin Peaks, and the space where the supernatural hides in plain sight.

Writer: “Better Angels” (feature) has won the ISA Fast Track Fellowship in Suspense, Best Feature Screenplay at the Lady Filmmakers Festival and the Oxford Script Awards, Best Drama Screenplay at the New York Script Awards, and Best Screenplay at the Brooklyn International Short Awards. It is a Semifinalist at The Writers Lab, a Quarterfinalist at Final Draft’s Big Break and the Fade In Screenwriting Fellowship, and an Official Selection at the Beverly Hills Film Festival and the Berlin International Screenwriting Festival. Her television pilot “\Killer_Dorothy” is a Second Round Selection at the ISA Fast Track Fellowship. Her short screenplay “Signal” won Best Screenplay at Top Shorts, is a Finalist at the Big Apple Film Festival Women’s Spotlight Edition, and a Semifinalist at Roadmap Writers. Her stage play “Psychoma” won Gold at WRPN Women’s International Film Festival. She has authored four full-length plays.

Director: “The Black Door” (short) won Best Director at Stockholm City Film Festival and Best Narrative Film at Top Shorts. “All Cats Are Grey In The Dark” (short) won Best Drama Short at New York Indie ShortFest, Best Editing and Special Jury Award at Top Shorts, and is a Finalist at NewFilmmakers NY, with screenings internationally. Her third short, “Signal”, is in pre-production. She also wrote, directed, and executive produced the web series “The Leveling”, adapted from her published novel.

Actor: “The Black Door” earned her Best Actress at Stockholm City Film Festival and Best Actress at Top Shorts. “All Cats Are Grey In The Dark” earned her Best Actress at Stockholm City Film Festival. On stage she has performed leading roles including Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Beth in Dinner with Friends, and Sabina in The Skin of Our Teeth.

Singer/Songwriter: As SAVARRE™, Shannon has written, performed, and produced two albums—Sparrow” and “Blood”—with a Grammy Award-winning creative team, performing at Arlene’s Grocery, The Bitter End, Bowery Electric, Pianos, and others across New York City. She is a member of the American Federation of Musicians and the Society of Composers and Lyricists.

Producer | Executive: Shannon has produced two short films, seven music videos, the web series The Leveling, the audiobook adaptation of “Velvet Moon Chronicles: The Leveling”, and two studio albums recorded with a Grammy Award-winning team. Prior to writing full-time, she spent more than a decade as a strategic and creative consultant—founding a boutique strategic positioning firm and operating at the CMO, CCO, and Creative Director level across technology, entertainment, real estate, and financial services. Colleagues have called her “a creative genius and a practical businesswoman—a rare and mighty advocate.”

Shannon is a member of the Writers Guild of America, SAG-AFTRA, Dramatists Guild, Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, American Federation of Musicians/Local 802, and Actors’ Equity Association.
